SCIS Research and Projects

SCIS colleagues are involved with a number of island communities events, activities, organisations and partners (currently being updated for this site *). Below are Scottish Centre for Island Studies related publications and other outputs including earlier work by colleagues that have informed more recent activity, or been ‘revisited’ in relation to our commitment to the ‘longer view’ of Scotland’s small island communities, cultures, ecologies and economies. These publications and selected outputs listed are representative of work in Scotland and elsewhere that informs our Scottish Centre for Islands Studies research, policy and creative practice activity, community collaboration and collective ambitions for new work and new collaboration.
