Points of Departure and the Shorelined Edge

Currently in her second year of full-time doctoral study Rachael’s working title for this research is “Points of Departure and the Shorelined Edge”: a creative practice exploration of the liminal registers of ritual, sacred space and its influence upon the states  of human consciousness”. This research aims to engage with both the visual culture and the experiential nature of coastal and island space. Moreover, to  consider these elements and their absorption within notions of  personal identity and emotional registers.
